The Walking Dead, season 3 premiere Sunday night, Oct 14th, on AMC; I'm ready. I'll look past how these slow moving, unarmed things can take over miltary installations that have heavily-armed soldiers, but what I was really wondering is do zombies pee and poo?
I'm thinking if it eats, it poops.
Damn dish, I will have to find another way to see it.
Just watched the entire series for the first time n Netflix this week. Pretty awesome!!! Can't wait for season three!!
All this time I never knew Andrew Lincoln, who plays RIck, is an English actor until I heard him on a short interview clip today from the Walking Dead marathon AMC is showing.
Cardhouse, you make an interesting post. And in fact I was just talking about something similar tonight. Why can't the people escaping from the zombies/ walkers ever drive anything nice? Usually in the movies or TV shows the military is set up all over the place. Why doesn't anyone grab some automatic weapons?

I am up right now watching the Walking Dead marathon. I will be absolutely glued to the TV come 9PM this evening. Also looking forward to the Talking Dead show that immediately follows the Walking Dead. You learn a lot of neat inside side from that show.
Woody Harrelson's Tallahassee drove an Escalade in Zombieland, but otherwise you are dead on. Also in The Walking Dead 2nd season after the rescue Steve drove out in a cruiser while Glenn sped out of Atlanta with a brand new Camaro I believe, but yeah, I'd be all over the Porsche, Ferrari, Lambo, etc. dealerships.
Yeah Zombieland kinda broke the norm with stuff like that. Also he had automatic weapons. Glenn wasn't the norm either but they screwed that up by walking past the 50 Cal. Machine guns at the C.D.C.
The Walking Dead is one of the most addicting TV shows I've ever seen.
Beatles, Bill Withers, Citizen Cope, Jim James, Levon Helm, Lupe Fiasco, Waylon, Beastie Boys, Pink Floyd, Paul Westerberg, V-roys
The first 20 minutes of last season's finale (episode "Beside the Dying Fire") is just awesome; they will show it again at 8:00 PM tonight before this season's premiere at 9:00.
As far as the military installations, if you use your imagination, the only way something like Ft Benning would be over-run is if maybe most of the personnel left to be with their families (like they did at the CDC), and also if it got taken from within. But that would mean some would have had to die of natural causes in the fort (remember, you don't even have to get bit now); everyone is caring the disease.
The barn scene with Sophia in season two might be the best thing I've ever seen on TV.

Is it weird that I got a little misty-eyed during that scene?
The first few episodes of Season 2 were really slow and plodding IMO. The second half or so of the season was fantastic though. *SPOILER ALERT* I'm still sort of pissed Shane got killed off though. I guess he was supposed to be a dislikable character, but I preferred him to Rick (who I don't think is the greatest actor).
I'm still crying
Allow the resident "The Walking Dead" expert to speak on this..
Compared to the graphic novel, Shane lived a lot longer than he should have, it just so happens his character was written longer in the show...so the psycho actually got more screentime than he was supposed to. In all fairness, a few liberties are taken with the show compared to the graphic novels.
On TOB, I raised the question in my TWD topic about why they chose older model RVs instead of newer more fuel-efficient ones. As far as automatic guns...they shoot more bullets, bullets are not easy to find/make now...and remember that in addition to our survivors, there are many other groups of survivors...all searching for the same things..so it's not uncommon that the gun store were looted BIG TIME.
In response to the "slow moving, unarmed things"...well unlike the living, these things (which all really aren't all that slow) DO NOT GET TIRED, so yes, if it's one-on-one you can outrun it, but you get in a walker-populated area and all that running (in all likelihood carrying a gun/ammo/supplies) and you will gas yourself out quickly.
I do love how Rick has begun to come into his own as the leader, "it's no longer a democracy!"
That whole speech he made at the end was bad azz!!!
I think I actually read that about Shane's character somewhere on the interwebz. I'm still pissed...LOL.
Am I the only one who's really indifferent about Rick? He has his moments, but Andrew Lincoln's delivery is just so overwrought sometimes.
I hope the hell they dont' shut down the stream on Justin TV......but I expect they will.
Except for the coupla hours I slept, I've been watching the marathon non-stop.
Man, even though I knew what was going to happen to Sophia, the tears welled up while I watched that just a while ago. Shit man, this show is the most awesome thing on TV imho.
AMC is going to allow Dish network customers to watch the season premier on AMC.com
Meh...I don't mind Rick....his not my fav that's Daryl Andrea and Glenn.
I was actually glad to see Shane get it. He was to dangerous for the group. Didn't mind seeing Dale get taken out also. Dale was the voice of reason in an unreasonable world. Also why is the T-dog character so worthless? He has no purpose.
