We're gonna be better bc we cant be any worse...

  • so what he is saying is that uk will improve because they return so much, yet Louisville will not? Oh, considering Louisville's practices are closed, perhaps uk fans believe that Charlie is having Ice Cream socials or somethi...oh, wait....

Ouch. Teddy B was actually top 30 in the NCAA last season in completion percentage, Max Smith beat Tennessee though. So they're like, on our level of talent and coaching. lol, Paypal should stick to basketball smack.

This whole notion that just because Joker hasn't recruited badly, almost as well as Charlie has, that they are somehow even is absurd. Not only have they lost a crap load of players this off-season, they readily admit their coach sucks out loud. We know first hand what a horrible coach can do with good talent. Charlie is making these guys crawl on their elbows for not getting stuff perfect, while Joker is having pool parties - this says everything you need to know about which "even talent" will be more prepared for battle.

Max was injured and couldn't play the UT game. Roark slid over from WR and was QB, threw two passes and ran for about 130 yards.

Smith is a QB. Newton was a talent that never learned the position. There was a lot....lot of hostility about the Mossakowski kid leaving the team and never having been given a chance. There was also some resentment between the coaches and players...new position coaches at almost every position.
No excuses though. The team sucked last year. Not even playing as a team until the final game. Pitiful.

Talent wise up and down the board, there isn't as much difference as you might think. This game is gonna be about who's head can stay in the game and who can play with discipline....which was terribly lacking in last year's UK squad...passion...which was even less apparent with last year's team...and heart....which at least one player...Roark..was able to transmit to some other kids in the last game.

If it holds up...the discipline, passion and heart...I'll enjoy this game.

That's one of the best posts I've read defending UK. Some very good points Bill.

That is a lucid, intelligent, well thought-out objection...

    Overruled.
