    And I'm pretty sure our baseball team spent most of the baseball season at the top of the polls.

    And wasn't it UofL fans who bragged about a former womens bball player winning a metal, when informed that AD won a gold metal in London this year?

If you think your conference bretheren consider basketball a men's sport, hop on over to a Bama, LSU, UF, or UGA football board, and post your basketball smack, and be sure to include something about how they all fear uk basketball. Let your post sit there for a few hours, and then come back here and post a link to your post.

    You'll then understand what I'm talking about, and we'll all have a good laugh.

    How is some reject rated 4 stars? Jones was a commit to Tennessee until it was found Pearl was involved in malfeascence which is typical in the $ec. Then, Jones left on his own terms..he wasn't rejected by anyone. Any person who follows recruiting (other than UK fans with blinders) knows this was one of the big "pickups" by Pearl in that class along with Ware. Is this BKD guy that dumb?

    Yea UofL football may have been bad those years, but college football is never boring. That's why it drives the bus in terms of college athletics.

    What you believe is insignificant. What I know comes from living next to and working with $EC fans for 21 years. What I know about how hoops is viewed here comes from the disdain displayed by just mentioning college basketball around $EC fans - and from scores of UF fans who didn't even watch their back to back basketball championships because in their words, "basketball is for pussies".

    Honestly BigRedOwnsMaxwell, you need to get out of the state more. But don't take my word for it - complete the homework I have assigned to you, or capitulate.

    So because your neighbors are SEC fans, you know what's going on?!?

    Florida fans didn't even care that their basketball team was winning titles?

    Sec doesn't care about basketball? Now I'm gonna have to bring out attendance smack.
    2006 (UF title)- 5 sec team ranked in the top 50 in attendance, 2 in the top 15.
    In 2007 (another UF title)- 6 sec teams were in the top 50... 4 in the top 30 and 2 in the top 10...

    Just for good measure, in 2008 there were
    4 teams in the top 30 for attendance.

    Pretty comparable numbers with basketball royalty like the big east.

    And FYI- i didn't include UK in those figures... I didn't want you to feel bad. But if you'd like just add another team toneach figure, since UK was #1 each year.
