UofL-Cincinnati television switch

Friday's BIG EAST telecast between Louisville and Cincinnati, which was originally scheduled to be broadcast on ESPN2, will be switched to ESPN. The sold-out game will kickoff at 8:06 pm., at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.
The 14th-ranked Cardinals (7-0, 2-0) will face the Bearcats, who fell for the first time last weekend at Toledo. The Bearcats have won the last four meetings, including the last two at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.

Not to beat a dead horse but I can't believe Cincy blew the opportunity to match up undefeated top 20 teams.
Will be a great one regardless though.

Or maybe this is a sign of things to come from our luck with ESPN....Maybe this is truly a sign that maybe we are in fact switching conferences....They are being a little more generous towards us recently....Perhaps they're hyping us up before some potential good news for us and they want to broadcast their future product in primetime....
I mean this is all a bit of a reach, but if a conference switch was going to happen, you'd expect things like this to start falling in our favor for us....I guess we can keep wishing until it actually happens....Here's to good thoughts....GO CARDS!!!!!

My direct TV guide still shows UL on ESPN 2 and NBA preseason on the main channel.

Ditto:
Just set DVR for both channels (Added an 1hr extended time to ESPN as NBA slot is 30 minutes shorter than a FB slot).
Great time to be a Cardinal, and getting better!

baffled me as to why ESPN has it on the deuce on a friday to begin with....wish they could move it to Thur :)
In all seriousness, the Thur sched on ESPN has sucked so far....they's really focused lately on the west coast ot seems with Pac 12 and late starts....I know there have been a couple of lesser conf game early though...
I think they should....
have an east coast (Acc or Big East), 630 start....then have a west coast game right after...around 9-930 eastern start.

Are we still stuck with Rod Gilmore? Biggest game of the season and we get a third string announcing team. i will be in the stands but on the DVR he will annoy me immensely.

THIS - Once the NFL started regular Thursday night games, that pretty much eliminated the monopoly ESPN had on Thursday night live game broadcasting. That's exactly why the CFB games suck Thursday now.
