And from our standpoint, next year is the last year we play them for the foreseeable future. I've never been to Nippert but will definitely be making the trip next year since I don't know when we'll be back.

Jurich has said that he wants to keep the UC series in football. We might not play them every year, but I think we'll see the Bearcats on the schedule.

I'd love to see Cincy and BSU on our schedule on some sort of regular basis.

I'm shocked Petrino got passed over by all these jobs and is now being talked about as a coordinator at a stepping stone school like Cincy.

That's what 3 failed HC'ing jobs will do, you can be the best employee in the world but your problly going to have a rough time getting a job if you quite every one after 3 months.

  • acc we will have 3 nc football games. expect sUK and cincy to be 2 of them. the other i would assume to be a paycheck game.

  • Interesting. Wonder how close we were having Tuberville and Petrino coming to Louisville, if CCS left last week ?

The ACC decided to stay with eight league football games so we will have 4 non-conference games to schedule most years Right now, UofL's ACC schedule will look something like this:

6 games against teams in the Atlantic Division (i.e. BC, Clemson, Florida State, Syracuse, N.C. State, Wake Forest)
1 game against a designated permanent rival from the Coastal Division (i.e. Virginia)
1 rotating game against teams in the Coastal Division
    4 OOC games*

    * Notre Dame is required to play 5 ACC opponents per year and to play each program at least once every three years. Once every three years, Notre Dame will fill one of our three OOC slots leaving us with only three OOC games to schedule.

ACC to keep 8-game league football schedule - ESPN

The ACC has decided to stay with eight league football games for the foreseeable future instead of transitioning to nine conference games in 2013 as originally planned, the conference announced Wednesday.

    We're playing 9 conference games? I was to understand it'd be 8.

It may not be outside the realm of reason. I am sure you meant it as a joke but at this point I think he takes any job he can get. Talk about unhirable. Is that a word?

  • Lubbock is worse than Starkville and that's saying something. Starkville's definition of a Hyatt is Motel 8.

no sir, it wasn't a joke as you can see. The laugh was that WKU may still be the second best program in the state, now!!! I don't usually post things I hear because I like the people that tell me things and I would like them to continue to tell me things! But, yeah, uk would be smart to get them off the schedule ASAP!!!!

Taggart was a good coach and was recruiting well for WKU the cupboard won't be bare when BP arrives.

Plus have you ever been to Lubbock, TX?

that, in and of itself, would make it an easy decision for me. Cincy is a very nice lifestyle destination spot. Lubbock? Well, Lubbock is Lubbock.
