This is our chance: Get Ohio St. on the 2013 schedule NOW

Vanderbilt was scheduled to open next year's schedule against Ohio St. Today they dropped them. We have to pick that game up. We have a chance at true greatness next year and we absolutely need a monster OOC game to give us the shot. I don't care if it's a one time road game, we can't let next year's team's potential go to waste due to another horrible OOC schedule. We might go up to Columbus and lose by 20, but I'd rather do that than go undefeated and be left out of the national title discussion because our best OOC game was Florida International.
This also works out because we play at UK next year, presumably the 3rd week of the season. We have the Ohio Bobcats scheduled for Aug. 31, but that should not be considered an obstacle in getting this game signed. Give them to Vanderbilt for all I care.
Go get it! Maybe we could talk them into a game at Paul Brown Stadium?

The Vanderbilt Commodores appear to have dropped Ohio State from the 2013 football schedule.

Ohio has North Texas in week 2 and North Texas has no one in week 1. So if we play Ohio week 2 at home and North Texas plays Ohio week 1 instead of week 2 then this could happen. They were discussing these details on Jason Anderson (i believe) yesterday.

How I would love this, having just moved to the Cincy area, I would love to be able to show all these Buckeye fans Louisville Football is legit.

I'd say pick up Vandy and Ohio State. Most likely Vandy wouldn't want to play us, but it doesn't hurt to get another SEC opponent on the schedule.

Vandy's schedule is already full next year at this point, so we could not take them on nor pawn them Ohio U.

I'm sure Vandy wants to schedule 4 easy OOC games so they only need 2 SEC wins for a bowl. They won't schedule us.
We're already playing THE Ohio U, so why play the Buckeyes? I'd love to play the Buckeyes, but I doubt they see any benefit to a home and home with us, and TJ won't do a 1-time trip there no matter how much we beg him.

Oh My Gosh YES!!!
Getting this game would go A LONG WAY with us contending for Championships in the New New Big East!!! A clash with Two Flagships of their conferences(both will probably be highly ranked)!!!!
Getting those nasty buckeyes on the schedule would instantly make our schedule golden!!!

We will not join the Big XII for next season, no way that happens. We could be invited today and it wouldn't happen that fast. Earliest we join in 2014.

We played them twice when the PIPE was here but both times were in Columbus. I went to one of them. Awesome football atmosphere. I doubt they would agree to a home and home, but one never knows.

Minnesota and North Carolina cancel a home and home. UNC already picked up Old Dominion to replace the Gophers.
Minnesota has 1 opening for the next 3 years. I wouldn't mind a home and home with the Gophers. It sure as hell beats playing FIU, Marshall, and Southern Miss on the road.

I'd take a road trip to the Twin Cities. There's plenty of good food, beer, and sights to see there to keep you busy for more than a weekend. Just don't schedule it late in the year or it might be 35 degrees, sleeting, and miserable (they have an outdoor stadium now).
