How did LM Poo-poo UL's move to the ACC tonight?

  • I have no doubt that he did somehow. Anybody that bothers to listen to him, what'd he say?

  • hammer He's worried that his beloved Cavs will get a beat down in PAPAs every other year.

  • I listened for 10 minutes and he admitted that he never thought Louisville would get in because of "academics". Of course, none of the conference realignment moves have anything to do with academics, as we all know. UL's academic profile improves every year and ratings are basically about endowments. He has always pumped his UVA degree, for obviously self-serving reasons.
I will rant about UL negativity for a minute here: what earthly good does it do putting down your hometown school that drives so much education, investment, and civic pride? Even Cat fans enjoy the new facilities, the higher profile events and increased value of UL degrees. A LOT of people are employed there, did construction there, and graduated from there. I dont get the negativity-UL has come so far and is truly an inspirational story-the little engine that could-AND DID. Ramsey and Jurich are two of the finest leaders around. Appreciate them.

It is a common childish theme....

if someone else recieves something of value, it takes away from you
if someone else receives recognition, you are lesser

plain hatin', fear, and narcisism covers evertthing elsecoffee

Louisville by birth, Cardinal by the grace of God!

  • The UK rivalry has taken a change of course and few over there seem to be able to grasp it.

It's less our problem every single day. We are uniquely positioned for a 25 year era of quiet.

He often has Eric Crawford on, usually Mondays or early in the week, so I will scan through sometimes hoping to catch that interview but not the rest of his show. Unfortunately sometimes it's just him babbling so you have to wait to see if it is actual a guest he is talking to or just himself.

Last night the moment I tuned in (hoping for Crawford in light of the ACC news) LM was babbling about U of L's record over the last 5 years compared to U Conn's and how our football merits didn't measure up. As soon as I realized it was just him I changed the dial.

The guy is such a wet blanket. Instead of embracing a huge day in UofL sports and academia all he can do is throw dirt on it and come up with his negative spin. It really is a tragedy that he is the only option in this market for late night sports radio. He is just awful.

    Exactly !

  • I only tuned in for a minute. I had the Pitino Show on as I was headed for the gym. When I came out, POS was on.

He was comparing the way UK fans were acting, saying the ACC was going to bust up, with UofL fans saying that Cal will eventually get caught cheating. I put up with about 2 or 3 sentences before it sank in that I was listening to douche bag and I changed the channel. I don't understand why anyone listens to this maggot or cares what he says.

He is such a "knowitall" when he doesn't

He just talks too much, and blathers on, without getting many comments from callers. I think his show would be better if he did not editorialize so much on his opinions.

  • I keep telling people, only one thing matters to Lachlan McLean - himself. He doesn't care about local sports. He only cares about what he thinks about local sports and spends two hours each night telling you what he thinks. I quit listening to him years ago. It is all about him. Sometimes he used to have a guest on infrequently. The guest never got to talk, Lachlan would attempt to answer the caller's questions first.
Quit listening to him. One of these years maybe he will go away. he must be cheap, otherwise I think they would have tried to replace him.

    SmokyBar

  • I'm so grateful to live in an area where they have a "real" sports talk personality. Lachlan should sit back and listen to Lance McAllister and just take notes. He may actually learn a thing or two. He is an embarrassment to the city of Louisville. Even on my travels back home to Shelby County, I avoid 840 when he is on the air...total disgrace!

    GO CARDS!
