Does CCS get/deserve a raise?

  • Carddoc has to be related to a mod or something. There is no way he should still allowed to post here when all he does is spew negativity since day one. I have no clue why he hasn't been banned yet.

    Why should I be banned for speaking the truth? Since when is legitimate criticism grounds for banning? I have been consistant in my harsh judgement of Charlie's coaching abilitiy and stein's inexplicable presence on the team. However, I have been equally consistant in my praise of Teddy. The same goes of the BB board. I have been consistant in both praise and lambasting as appropriate.

    You are expressing your own opinion and have the right to do so, but to call it the truth is laughable.

    I do not agree with your assessment as I think Strong is doing a good job thus far in his third year, but I respect your opinion. That's what makes it great; we all have our own opinions that we are able to share freely.

  • He is well-compensated for his tenure, experience and what he has done at 2.5M per year. I think I saw he is in the Top 10 or 15.

    I would not be in favor of increasing it this year.

    What is Strong supposed to do when HWSNBN leaves him with two senior quarterbacks and nobody else other than Stein and then Smith bails at the last minute and Gardiner tears his ACL and has to redshirt. Yeah, he should have brought a quarterback in his first class but, just because we don't have a viable backup at this point doesn't mean Charlie is a bad coach. You just see the contrast between Will and Teddy and assume that would be the normal.

    If you think he is a good coach then your cognitive capacity is equivalent to the dog shit you reference. He is a terrible HC. You have to be delusional to think otherwise. Teddy is the only reason we are 10-2 instead of 2-10.

    Just to be sure I looked up "F'ing moron" in Websters and sure enough it had a picture of a sole of a boot inpregnated with dog scat and it was labeled Carddoc.

    Nuf said!

  • If we were in the ACC right now Strong would be about the 6th highest paid coach. He's about $200k above par in the conference. Can we pay better? Sure. Should we pay better? Probably.

    He assumes that intelligence is inversely correlated with melanin content. He then incorrectly assumes that because I question Charlie's decision making that I share his racist assumption that Charlie's melanin content drives his intellectual challenges.

    A very small impact to be sure. However if I can hasten the arrival of an accurate assessment of Charlie deficiencies and the hiring of viable long term coach that is goal to lauded

    Regressing? I'm sorry if my memory is failing, but what BCS bowl game did we play in last season? And, I don't recall us winning 11 regular season games last year, either. Weird.

    My guess is, you have no idea what all a HC actually does on a football team; all you know is what you see on game day (and I question your understanding of that aspect as well).

    We just won 10 regular season games, only 3 years removed from winning only 3 games. HC are ultimately judged by their W/L record, like it or not. Any HC that wins 10 games in the season is doing a good job on the field, period. There may be some aspects that he can improve on (clock management), but he is still a good coach. Les Miles is abysmal in clock management in big games, yet he has a NC ring to prove he's a good coach...

  • If he's such an awful HC how come every time I turn around. The University of Tennessee came up to Louisville to talk to him. Auburn made up an entire article saying Charlie has been contacted. If this is the case you have two schools that have won national championships calling for a shitty head coach. Half of the UT fans are drooling to get him. He also inherited a team that hadn't been to a bowl in 3 years. And if I remember correctly he led that team a Beef O'Brady's victory. Sounds like a good HC to me.
