We herd sheep, we drive cattle, we lead people. Lead me, follow me, or get out of my way.
-General George S. Patton, 3rd Army
Stoops' Troops come armed just like the real ones!
I can't believe that he would... *puts on sunglasses*.. Stoop so low.
I'm sure they'll just blame this on Joker like we did to Bobby.
"We" didn't blame anything on Bobby. HWSNBN and his minions tried to do that.
That's what I meant Tex.
And why again is this reason to celebrate?
ok, maybe celebrating was a bad word choice...why do we care?
The man has got to protect his ice cream, right?
I am among those who has an issue with exploiting the epically failed moments in a person's life. It does not make me feel better about myself...because another person has encountered or embraced a situation that brings them and others potential tragedy.
I do find very sad that this young man made such a tragic error in judgement. I feel very bad for him that he also appears late in the video to have great difficulty signing what appears to be his national letter of intent.
A great moment in a young person's life perhaps revealing another "bad" side of sports gone wrong...student athletes need to be prepared for the path to success that is granted to them. They earned the scholly... we need to insist they understand achieving success in life is also "earning" a diploma or GED. Just sayin'
I embarrass my self with this post, because I am part of the problem... I chose to open the post and view the news report. So I confess my hypocrisy and will not repeat my mistake again.

Louisville by birth, Cardinal by the grace of God!
UK fans run their mouth anytime a Louisville player gets in trouble and is in the news saying we have a bunch of thugs, etc, so Louisville fans are quick to throw it back at UK when their players screw up (and they do every bit as much). Its stupid on both ends. College football teams are huge, 100 kids, and there will always be players getting into trouble with the law. I'd say college football kids in general break the law more than average students do, and when you have 100 of them, chances of something happening is pretty high.
While I can agree with the statistical argument, the real reason this is a major, major story is that he brought the weapon to a school. In the wake of the most obscene school shooting in U.S. history, it's a product of miserable decision making and horrendous timing. This kid will be kicked off the team and never given a chance to come back by UK if they are smart. You do not want that kind of PR hanging around under a new coaching staff.
You probably right with what will happen, but I hate all that PR stuff. "Yep, let's punish a kid by not giving him an education." There are many, many, many ways that a coach can punish a kid and make his life miserable without kicking him off the team.
He was dumb and I guess get he get what he gets, but kicking him off the team will be the more likely way that he'll continue down the wrong path. I hope not, but he would have a better chance with a degree. Sometimes this "image" stuff is just stupid.
Exactly, most times all we hear is rumors and hearsay, its how coaches and the school handle situations that matter. While I couldn't care less about uk, and I know this is a serious deal, I'd hate to see any kid screw up once ( not counting murder, rape, or armed robbery, possibly others) and lose everything.
Is there any news here?
Great time to be a Cardinal, and getting better!
I wish the OP would take this garbage elsewhere. We don't celebrate the demise of other people, whether they are players of a rival team or not. It makes no difference to me what other fans of other teams do, that doesn't mean we need to show up as imbeciles at the asylum ourselves.
We're better than that as Cards fans. This off-topic stuff which should be either deleted or taken to a smack board as a minimum.
Why is posting a news article about your in state rival garbage? Nobody is taking any joy in this young person's poor decision. Regardless of anyone's opinion about what happens in Lexington, their roster issues, recruiting, and significant events do affect a very small portion of Louisville's schedule albeit one game.
Next time there is news to share I will apply for a garbage or holier than thou permit for this board. Please provide me a link for this application so that I may better judge the level of asylum imbecile that is acceptable here in the future.
The "possible incident that occurred in the locker room" was reported three days later, but the details on the conclusion of the investigation resulting in Jones' arrest were not available.
