I didn't see this posted anywhere so here goes.
I think Cincy will do well under Tommy. I am glad for them and hope they one day follow us to the ACC.
Sources have also indicated to us that former Louisville, Atlanta Falcons and Arkansas head coach Bobby Petrino could join Tuberville's staff as the offensive coordinator if he does not obtain a head coaching job.
Tommy Tuberville is the new head coach at Cincinnati.

Pretty bold move for TT to go from Big 12 to Big East...unless he saw writing on the wall that his days at TT were numbered.
TT as HC and BP as OC...that would be quite a combination. I guess it would show he's forgotten all about BP interviewing for his job at Auburn. That would be an upgrade as well.

$$$$$$ will do that. If it's true about CBP, Cincy could become a major power in short order.
Yeah till he gets a better position somewhere else everybody knows that.
Tubberville just mitigated getting fired next season at TT. He knew the writing was on the wall.
Good move on his part. At least for the short term.
Who does UC have coming back next year? I would be shocked if that coaching staff, particularly Petrino, stays there longer than one season. So if they don't have the horses next year, it will be moot. And from our standpoint, next year is the last year we play them for the foreseeable future. I've never been to Nippert but will definitely be making the trip next year since I don't know when we'll be back.
Petrino is up for the Arkansas St. Job.
TT was not good enough to land a SEC job this year. Cincinatti gives him the best chance to do just that.
Gotta think that was the rationale for the move for sure.
National Champs- Class of '80
I'm shocked Petrino got passed over by all these jobs and is now being talked about as a coordinator at a stepping stone school like Cincy.
He may be more damaged than we know. It seems Auburn found even more dirt on him. He has some major repair to do concerning his image. It was even rumored that he was being blacklisted by the $ECash. If that rumor is true it's says a lot. We all know that anything goes in the $ECash where their motto is If you aren't cheating you aren't trying hard enough.
Good move for UC, They get a top coach at the end of his career . TT must be hard to get along with because he's won in the SEC at to different schools and one of those was Miss. , owned Alabama , did not have a losing record against any team in the SEC while at Auburn but never got along with the higher ups there (not sure that was his fault ).
TT is known for his defense , which is what I think of when I think of Cinny . They should be a top team along with BSU in the BE , after we leave . Good for them , they've been poached more times than we have.
Hummm! Gator ,Taste like chicken , but takes a licking .
Dude says "What up Dog , GO CARDS !"
TT's wife is from the Cincinnati area plus he seems to have a history with our AD. Funny how things can change when the domino's fall. Jones leaves for Tennessee after Strong turns down the job and the UC gets Tuberville. Amazing what is happning with college football these days. Good luck in the ACC.
I saw this on the UC board, would be great for them
TT must know that UC is headed to the ACC. He would not take the job otherwise.
How many years were TT and CBP together at Auburn?
That's not necessarily true. He's probably got all the money he'll ever need already and his wife is from the Cincinnati area. Couple that with his probable future at TT and there you go.
NObody knows if UC will go to the ACC or anywhere else in the future.
Plus have you ever been to Lubbock, TX?
I wish all of these "better than the BIG EAST" conferences would quit hiring our coaches and raiding our league.
Then from the other side of my face, "Who cares, we are going to the ACC".
A simple question: is your butt jealous of the amount crap coming from your mouth?
There are a lot of HC football coach openings out there someone is going to hire Petrino.

And only one of those has shown any interest, Arky St.
Worked together one year at Auburn and there is zero chance TT would hire Petrino as OC.
UC board claims to have heard that Petrino did interview there...but who knows
It would really suck to have to endure BP dropping 70 points on Charlie every year.
Good for the Bearcats. They need some hope. I remember how crappy I felt when WVU got into the Big 12 and we didn't; I'm sure they feel that same pain regarding us and the ACC (the ACC!!!!).

Jurich has said that he wants to keep the UC series in football. We might not play them every year, but I think we'll see the Bearcats on the schedule.
