Those guys sound very scared, there all nervous about recruiting and talking about the ACC not lasting when fsu and a few others leave. I love to hate those guys, biggest haters ever.
I figured it would be a ghost town there as the BBN faithful all are in line at Wal-Mart trying to buy up the Stoops Troops t-shirts.
No I dont
Oh.... Well your cool, lol.
Why? Are they getting ready for a wedding?
I was just on cats piss and the envy and jealousy is almost beyond belief. There are a few Ukanters who seem genuinely pleased for us but other than those few, the hatred is flowing freely. Good for them I say, good for them.
-The ACC will be raided
-The ACC was desperate and we only got picked over low lifes like UConn and Cincy
-We'll now get creamed with the increased competition
-We're conference whores for all the switching
I don't care what they think.
It's fear. For the past ten years, they've watched Louisville keep pace with Kentucky in overall athletics despite getting Big East money that's pocket change compared to what they get from the SEC. They're afraid that once Louisville starts getting that big annual pay raise (but still less than SEC money), they'll pull permanently ahead of Kentucky. Then they'll have to wear that "little brother" shirt. But as long as it's blue, they'll still wear it to job interviews.
And that's not even 1% of it. You could literally write a novel filled with the bile and venom they're spewing over there. Hell, you could even call them big green nation. The envy is killing them that badly.
Its the premiere basketball conference and they would give anything to be in it period. Oh they will tell us how much better football is in the SEC but they don't care about football at all.
It was so predictable over there. For the 5 people in louisville that will listen to lach tonight, there is his show prep
There isn't a big blew fan out there who can bring me down right now. We are just busting at the seams right now and it's killing the naysayers who prefer to wear UK gear to funerals, weddings and job interviews. This is no dig on a geniun fan with self-respect. This is a jab at the morons who just can't come to grips with reality that we are a wanted program and that we are only getting better and better and better.
Dispute this blow hard nation!
Yes they are very nervous. I love it
If you were looking at Catsillustrated I feel for you. That was once BY FAR the best UK message board on the internet. In recent years it has turned into a middle school locker room. Theyve been taken over by teens and early 20 somethings that are full of nothing but anger and have no control over it. I must admit though I checked it out for laughs and it was a hoot today. They are already hoping and praying the league falls apart. There is even a tweet of UNC and Duke joining the SEC that they are holding tight to. REALLY? Two universities that probably had reservations about Louisville joining their league are going to join an entire league of schools with lower academic rankings for the most part? Okay, Ill buy that (NOT). Two CHARTER MEMBERS of the ACC are leaving for the SEC, sure they will. Duke and UNC leaving the ACC for the SEC would be akin to UK leaving the SEC for the Big East ten years ago. Why would they do it? n short they wont. If anyone goes to the SEC it will be one of the dumb Southern schools like FSU, Clemson maybe VPI. The big 10 may make a run and Im sure schools will listen to the Big ten as they have more than a 10 question entrance exam unlike the SEC.
That entire board is in denial right now for good reason. This is one of their biggest fears. First off they were hoping we would be left for dead. As usual they discount what it means to have a good AD because theyve never seen one. They are realizing we arent dead. Not only that but we are leaving the greatest basketball conference ever assembled for a league thats going to be even stronger. To further add into their small penis complex we are now in a league that once again has access to the BCS. Its a bad, bad day for Cat fans. For those of you that have the stomach for it you have a few days of pure gold in reading material on their site, ENJOY!
For the record a lot of UK fans stopped going on the CatsIllustrated boards. I'm still on there and post from time to time but the crowd on that board has definitely changed and most fans don't like it. Other message boards have sprouted up and some of them are invitation only boards. So you can't go by what the people say on CatsIllustrated as an indication what UK fans think.
From what I've read on most of our boards that UK fans count as good message boards fans have been happy for UofL. Some wish that UofL was staying in the Big East but most aren't like that. Most UK fans are saying its good that you got out of the Big East but they are saying that ACC is on the fall as well which has been reported by numerous credible journalists and isn't made up out of mid-air. I think UofL will be in the ACC for a short period of time and then you'll join the Big12 which is who should have gotten you last year. Hopefully Big12 does expand later this year and they offer UofL a spot, then you can spurn the ACC like TCU did the Big East.
