That he is moving to WR.
LEXINGTON IS FOR THE BIRDS
Staff knows best, but we are loaded at that position and would like to see his size and speed in our backfield
Maybe he doesn't have the skills needed to cover at this level
...or what I see as more likely: the staff realizes we lose 8 receivers over the next two years.
88 Jarrett Davis 5-9 172 WR SR
7 Damian Copeland 182 WR RS SR
82 Eli Rogers 5 -10 182 WR JR
9 DeVante Parker 6-3 209 WR JR
87 Kai De La Cruz 6-0 186 WR RS JR
86 Matt Milton 6-5 205 WR RS JR
2 Michaelee Harris6-2 202 WR RS JR
4 Robert Clark 5-9 173 WR RS JR
...and obviously a ton of playmakers. Need to start building that future and looks like it will be around Quick and Benjamin. It will be interesting to see what they do with Chucky Williams as he could go either way as well. We're also loading up at the position in the 2014 class with five WRs already. Definitely need to hold on to Isaiah Ford.
He isn't going to play this year anyway so he could end up changing positions 2 more times. A little surprising but like the above poster said, we are going to need some receivers in the future.
As noted, we only have added Quick to the WR position out of high school the past 2 classes. Its going to be time to restock the position. Also, he might move back as its pretty common for guys to go back and forth between DB and WR. He's going to redshirt this year anyway. They might just want to look at him at WR to compare where he'd fit best in the future.
Whether he moves back or not, the thought of Quick and Benjamin at WR is nice. Add in Ford next year and those are some studs.
