They have more scholarships available, so by a technical sense they should outdo us. The problem is they have outdone us 2 of the past 3 years and we see how that has worked out for them.
What I look at, compare our recruits offer sheets to their recruits offer sheets and you can tell where the difference lies. They may have landed Kyle Meadows and they are so pumped about Javess Blue, but they only have 3 recruits who have been highly sought after guys (Meadows, Jaleel Hytchye, and Zadarius Smith). Everyone else they are competing with MAC, C-USA and Sun Belt schools for. I'll take our guys who are getting a lot of attention from ACC, SEC, and Big 10.
What other site do you suggest i use since you know so much? It really shouldn't matter to you or anyone else if i go to the UK board. Love to see their fans having meltdowns! lol
I looked over their class, and there were a few guys with high major offers. Peterson was offered by WVU and Illinois. Blue was offered by A&M, Texas Tech, and WVU. 5 of their 6 commit since hiring their new coach have other high major offers. that's a nice improvement over where they were before.
Just looking at some of their better commits to Joker:
Bell was offered by us, FSU, Clemson, Notre Dame, etc.
Thomas was offered by Miami, Ohio State, and Notre Dame.
McCain: Pitt and WVU
So there are still their fair share of guys they managed to wrestle away from the likes of Marshall and Bowling Green, but they're also getting some guys with pretty impressive offer sheets as well.
When it's all said and done, it will not compare to our class this year.
If he wins fast at UK, he will still be flying out of Lexington on a midnight flight...to take a better job.
Not sure what all the hate is on JUCO players. Need I remind you all that Cam Newton was a JUCO player after leaving Florida. On the other hand I don't care who UK gets, they will always be our little brother now that Strong is here for the forseeable future.
1 or 2 JUCOs a year to plug some holes isn't a bad thing. Bushell was a very good JUCO. I think Hubbell was a nice pick up last year at TE. We'd have been very thin at TE without him. Nelson seems like a solid pickup this year. Going back a few years I'm glad we picked up Josh Bellamy.
I don't really care how good their recruiting classes are. Without proper coaching, training, and support, they will continue to lose.
Beatles, Bill Withers, Citizen Cope, Jim James, Levon Helm, Lupe Fiasco, Waylon, Beastie Boys, Pink Floyd, Paul Westerberg, V-roys
Bushell was already on the field at UF big difference. Cam also was at Florida these guys they are getting went juco from the get go. Not like they were practicing with a school like UF they were at like JCC.
The reality of the situation is UK will finish 10th or worse in recruiting in the SEC. Stoops will be the next coach to be added to the UK coaching grave yard. You can't compete in the SEC with the level of recruiting UK has had and will have. Just think of this. Stoops had Florida St level talent and Florida ran all over his defense. So how in the world will Stoops do better against the top SEC teams with UK talent??? UK is a no win situation and it boggles my mind why any coach would go there. Grandpa was retired and no other options...I get that,,,Joker was a Blue blood...I get that...But Stoops ego just cost him any other head coaching jobs in the near future. In 3 years they will be asking him to leave as well.
Cam Newton was never a JUCO, he was a free agent.
He definitely won't be there for year 4. If he wins he's gone. If he loses he's gone.
"It will be different this time."--- UK fan (who has said that every year since 1977)
Not offers...stars wise maybe, but a lot of their three stars didn't have offers much better than Mac / uofk level. Not sure about the new fat dude
I suggest UofL fans not associate with them and quit posting threads about them...so the site I suggest is this one

Guys, I'm shaking in my boots....Kentucky got another commit today.
2-star DL! TWO WHOLE STARS!
He doesn't even have a 247, Scout, or Rivals profile or I would link him.
CANT STOP STOOPS!
See "Morgan Newton"
I love the guy's quotes trying to be a level-headed fan but stating that UK has a better shot of beating UL next year than UL did when we played Florida.
We are going to crush them so bad next September they will cry.
The sad thing is that very philosophy was what sunk Ron Prince at Kansas State.
And the same philosophy that Bill Snyder won by the first go around and again the 2nd go around. Its really all about recruiting good talent and developing the talent you have. Bill Snyder is one of the guys who blazed the JUCO road and still does it today.
The JUCO route can work but it's a risk. It can fill necessary holes but delays long term development of the program. Most these guys come in and take time to acclimate to the program. By the time they do you only get 1 season out of them and then you are back to square one. I'd say 1 out of 5 JUCO players that come in turn out to be worthwhile. Now if you are just filling a void at a position or two then it will have a higher success rate than if you are trying to take a shortcut by bringing in more established talent because you don't have 3-5 years to build.
Don't be a moron. It's not about stars. It's about athletic ability and potential. Petrino didn't want Corey Peters and he ends up in the NFl(just an example). I keep seeing stupid posts about # of stars and recruits. Some of our fans even thinking 3 star kids are beneath us bc we win a BCS game. Pathetic.
Dude is an All-Stater in Florida big boy football too. I'll take an unknown of that stature any day in the UK Football program.
UKani, I have a question, and I"m asking you because you so happen to be over here and posting and I know you're at the rivals board. What's up with the ignorance over there that some of your posters have towards our program? What's with the downright hatred? Why do your mods allow stuff like West End Card fans, crown royal jokes etc to stay up?
I thought Peters had qualifying issues. Am I thinking about someone else?
