I am hearing that the OP was somewhat correct, but not totally accurate.
Hatcher chooses Louisville, Kentucky which is indeed in the state of Kentucky. We'll see many twists and turns and twitters and tweets and unimaginable feats.
I have been to many games and bars and other social gatherings with UK fans, so that in itself means nothing. UK folks like to have a good time and so do I. I bet Hatcher likes to hang with UK, Michigan, USC, and UTEP fans if the they share some things in common.
Wait till NSD for the announcement. Silence the twitter bird.

So you just registered to post that. Did ya get hard as well?
Thanks for the laugh. I missed that the douche registered with a name like that just to defend his little buddy. Hilarious!
Cardsource knows what he's talking about - iygmd.
Do people not realize how dumb it is to say something like this? The kid is not good enough to break into the rotation at a 7-6 USC team but would make such a he impact at Louisville that he would become a hometown hero??? Do you not realize that is a knock on our own talent? So our best players are kids that would not even crack the rotation at USC. That is what your comment is saying.
Simply stupid comments and a even more ridiculous thought process.
Any suggestion that Hatcher made a definitive decision is apparently premature ................ lot of time and a lot of folks who like Jason and sincerely want what is in his best interest are UL folks who have some influence. It is true that Stoops and staff would be in a position to assure Jason of a starting position next year, but if you look at UK and their returning roster in 2013, it would not be too difficult a promise to keep. All one needs to examine is the number of JUCO kids this rookie UK staff are pursuing to appreciate what they recognize, or if you have film on the 2012 UK replays you can see for yourself.
Historically this is the highlight period for UK football ................... no games being played, just their fans and their talking heads either creating recruiting reports, or embellishing on their own repeats. I would like to see Jason come to UL, but it should be evident to anyone looking at our depth chart at DE or LB that no incoming freshmen will be starting in 2013. CCS and staff have demonstrated since arriving at UL that true freshmen have equal opportunity to start, its just that this returning group are very talented and experienced. Hatcher knows this and it may indeed affect his college selection if he is looking for immediate playing time to be given in advance.
That's because the 4star that you bring up isn't the 4star that I'm talking about. UK is in on more than 1 guy from the state of Florida who is a 4-star. The guy I'm talking about is a DT not a LB and he has offers from a ton of teams.
But I'm not defending anybody. I like to post facts both ways. When UK fans are downing UL with a lot of stuff that isn't true then I try to correct it, so here I'm doing the same thing here. There is incorrect info out there so I wanted to try and correct it.
I agree with this post 100%. I'm not a fan who likes to make outlandish predictions so I'm just going to say that I'm curious to see if he can develop that talent like you say UL does. These recruits that UK is getting thinks that Stoops staff is really good at developing, well it remains to be seen.
If you are posting facts then why not post that UK had not had 5 wins in the SEC since the mid 80's. UK has not been relevant in the SEC since the 60's. even when mummie was cheating UK's best year was 4 SEC wins.
Getting beat in the SEC every year is all any recruit can look forward to at UK.
Losing gets very old after a while
Agreed. We've lost just 4 games out of 20 in basketball and everyone is restless. Can you imagine how pissed we'd be if we lost 8-10 games every year in football? Such is the life of a UK football fan. It must be excruciatingly difficult knowing you have no chance at success.
I don't want any of your drift. But thanks anyway.
Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it.
Loser program with an unproven head coach whose greatest asset is his "bloodline"...who takes that over proven options? And if Stoops is fantastic, how long would he stay at UK, anyhow?
First off dont call something stupid because you dont agree with it. its my opinion. second off, im questioning his WORK ETHIC BECAUSE HE MOST LIKELY WILL CHOOSE UK WHERE HE GETS IMMEDIATE PT INSTEAD OF HAVING TO WORK FOR IT. I SAID HE COULD BECOME A HOMETOWN HERO, WHICH WOULD MAKE SENSE BECAUSE HE IS FROM LOUISVILLE. WHERE DOES THAT EVER SAY ANYTHING ABOUT KNOCKING OUR TALENT? USC GETS 5 STAR KIDS EVERY YEAR. WE DON'T. WE DEVELOP OUR TALENT. HE WOULD BE BURIED IN A DEPTH CHART AT USC, WHICH CONSISTS OF PLENTY 4 AN 5 STAR KIDS LIKE HIM. AS IF HE CAME TO THE VILLE, HE MAY HAVE A BETTER SHOT AT PLAYING EARLY IF HE TRULY IS USC CALIBER. HE WOULDNT GET DEVELOPED AT USC, BECAUSE THERE ARE 10 OTHER JASON HATCHERS ON THE TEAM THAT WOULD MOST LIKELY BEAT HIM OUT. NOT A KNOCK ON ANYBODY. NEXT TIME YOU WANNA CALL SOMETHING STUPID BECAUSE YOU DONT AGREE WITH IT AT LEAST READ IT. DO YOU UNDERSTAND, OR DO I NEED TO GO OVER IT AGAIN?
In a city full of Bluenecks, I still bleed RED!!!
calm down brah!!!
lmao well how you gonna just straight up call somebody stupid for stating their opinion. i guess the caps lock was kinda loud haha
In lieu of posting facts: UK has beaten UL in 4 of the last 6 meetings -- lets be careful painting UL football as the Lew Alcindor era UCLA Bruins. Congrats on a great season, next year should be solid as well, I enjoy watching Bridgewater.
Why such an arbitrary number as '6'? Take it to 10---UL 6 UK 4. Or the modern series, which UL leads 11-8. I love how UK fans pick arbitrary numbers to support their argument. You guys make such a big deal about Gillispie's years not counting---take Krag out of the equation and it's utter domination.
All of those markers are factual, yet you chose to exclude UK's lead in the history of the series, choosing to point out the tally of the Modern Era. We all use arbitrary numbers. I saw the thread on Hatcher and started reading posts, they turned into UL is a dominant football power and UK is garbage. Just a reminder that the outfit this thread describes as a dumpster fire has won 4 of the last 6 meetings. Any UK fan that tries to dismiss the Gillespie years is an idiot, there's a few out there.
Why stop at 6?
What about the last 10 meetings? 6 and 4 to UofL's favor.
Be glad Kraigthorpe saved the cats otherwise lessingtown would have cancelled the game by now.
My guess is that this kid has difficulty deciding what kind of chips he wants with his ham sandwich. Normally, who would care? However, this decision is being played out in public, which is unfortunate.
I doubt Hatcher even knows what he wants to do, or if he does, it changes day to day. That's what 17 year old kids do. If we get him, fantastic. If not, then our guys will try to tear his head off for the next four years and best of luck to him. He is a good player, but he is not going to make or break us, not by a long shot.
AKA Big Game James
Its because I'm not here for that. I don't post on boards for that stuff. If you are looking for me to argue with you then you are coming at the wrong person. I'm a UK fan but I'm not a homer. I'm first and foremost a Sports fan. I watch all kinds of teams play basketball and football. I know a lot of people playing football in college and pros because I played with them. I knew a ton of people in your UL football and basketball program. So even though I'm a UK fan I also follow UL as well. I'm not one that cheers for UK and hate the others. Yes I know I'm the kind of fan that you hate, but its all good.
Truth is UK doesn't have a history of playing good football and everyone knows that so I don't see a reason to reiterate that. Truth is your past has no bearings on your future. It only does in your mind because you put limitations on yourself. If you think you can overcome your past and you believe you can overcome your past and you put 100% effort into overcoming your past then you will overcome your past. Its just a choice that you've got to make. That goes for life as well as athletics. Don't think that all of these college football powers have always been there. They haven't. It was just a time when those schools administrations decided to make that choice and commitment to football. So with UK Football the administration and coaching staff has to make that choice that UL Administration has made a long time ago. UK Football doesn't succeed because they can't, they don't succeed because they fear it will threaten there precious basketball program. If you don't believe me all you've got to do is look up the reason for Bear Bryant leaving KY. That same decision that the UK administration made then is the same decision that the UK Administration has been making up until now. Nothing has changed except the faces in office. For proof look at Rich Brooks comments when he retired. He said that if UK wants to get serious about football then they've got to enter the 21st century. So that tells you that UK administration still hasn't made a commitment to the sport. So the question from UK fans is will the UK Administration decide to see what the football program can actually do.

By the way new news that came out was that nobody should read into Jason Hatcher visiting UK again this past weekend. Jason Hatcher isn't talking but someone close to him is talking and apparently a decision hasn't been made and everything is still in play between UK, UL, and USC. So whoever said that Jason Hatcher isn't talking to UL coaches had incorrect information. Jason Hatcher didn't feel a need to visit UL again because he said that he's always over there on UL campus around the players and knows several players on the team and has a really good handle on the coaching staff so he knows exactly what UL is, but doesn't know as much about UK.
3 of those wins were because of a bad hire. Had that not happened you would we on your way to another steak of losses to a team like you have against Florida. With 2 losses in a row, adding a 3rd next year to Louisville, UK is back where it belongs in the modern day game with face mask and the forward pass.
And the FACT is going to UK grantees you will never see a BCS bowl, never see a championship and never see a win against Florida.
I appreciate your motivational speak, not being sarcastic, but if you are as real as you claim then you know your administration does not take football seriously. Pony up 3 to 4 million and get a real coach that can compete in the SEC. Stoops is not the answer. He had Florida St talent (which is miles above UK talent) and his defense was ran all over by Florida. You know, that team you have to beat in order to win the SEC East. So if he can't stop Florida with FL ST talent, how is he going to do it with UK talent?
Reality is UK fans like yourself loves the game of football and is passionate about UK football. You admin only cares about your money and the SEC money to dump it into basketball. Not my opinion, but facts. Even Brooks, after he left, said UK did not fulfill the promises UK made him when they hired him.
Stoops was not on anyone's top list of hiring. I will give UK credit for trying to get someone who can recruit the state of FL, but he is not the answer. And in 3 to 4 years, you will be going through another coaching search.
