Russ is supremely conditioned, and in an important and tight game he's more than capable of playing 35 excellent minutes and not dropping off, but throughout the season I could see resting him more and his clock being closer to 27 or 28 MPG. Rozier is going to play a ton both behind Jones and Russ. Ware will eventually be back at 100% and along with Gill can play some good minutes at the 2. Then you have Blackshear/Hancock that if Blackshear improves as much as he's capable, those guys have to play together some with one of them at the 2 spot.
It will allow Russ to be more aggressive due to having quality backups .. Also being able to sit in 2-3 min spurts will help keep his defense sharp.. Our press is going to be insane this yr
Russ MORE aggressive...haha that's just funny to think about. I see what you're saying though.
Russ averaged 30 minutes a game last year, sounds about right. I think he will average about the same this year.
Russ is a National Champion. Russ will probably play the bulk of the minutes.
