The University of Louisville football team will hold two practices open to the public when the 2013 season officially kicks off for the first day of practice on Tuesday, Aug. 6.
The Cardinals, who will be in shorts and helmets for the first two days of workouts, will practice from 5:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, and then conduct another open practice on Wednesday, Aug. 7, from 5:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.
The annual Fan Day is also scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 18 from noon to 2:30 p.m. on the concourse of Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. Details are still being finalized and will be released at a later date.
I went to an open practice about 5 years ago and was talking to this dude next to me who then asked, "are you a recruit or a player"? My reply, dude, I'm 35 (at the time).....
Mid-week open practices stink for us fans not located in Louisville, but maybe they are trying to keep the crowds down. Last year was pretty crowded. At least my wife will be happy that I'm not driving to Louisville for a practice.........unless I can schedule a business trip for Tuesday or Wednesday.
Could be more crowded this year with additions of Dyer and Quick
