Sorry, but that's what drives me crazy about RP sometimes. How about take an introspective look first Rick, it wasn't exactly a well coached game on our bench!
Thanks for the update. It seems like a few players on this team aren't very coachable. I hope that changes with time, but if someone like Pitino can't get a player to listen to his advice and learn, then I'm afriad no one can. On a side note, this shouldn't all be put on the players. It is also a failure by coach and the assistant coaches to some degree. It's their job to get the players where they need to be mentally. Granted the coaches might be dealing with some more thick headed players or "not exactly the smartest" as you put it, but these young men have been playing basketball their entire lives. It's not a foreign subject to them.
It seems Russ generally wants to do as Pitino says. Its just damn near impossible for him to ignore his instincts out there, and although his instincts create good plays lots of times, other they fail when just the simple play is needed.
From the free board, I see Russ posted this on Instagram...shows we just need to stick with the kid because he wants to win.
"When times get tough, them same people that used to love you scatter. When you perform well, them same people want to be there and celebrate with you. I have alot to learn about the game. Easy for people to sit back and criticize but this is the world we live in. Gotta take the good with the bad n right now it is really BAD. Ima jus#KeepPositive n do better the next game. Sorry I cuddnt get the job done#cardnation, I was really stupid tonight."
OMG GOD people, just stop it! Make free throws for Christ sake and this finger pointing stops.
3 games lost at free throw line, want to blame RP for that too?
If YOU ever played any organized bb you would know that you practice that mostly on your own...
