I'm not an insider but I see Gill filling in the Kevin ware role until he is fully back. He's similar in height and athleticism to ware and is a good shooter. Remember that up until the big east tourney ware was mostly hitting the open 3. He didn't Begin to drive to the basket until the big east tournament. He had a bad habit early in the year and in his freshman year of getting charges called against him. He finally learned how to drive to the basket at the college level late in the year and in the NCAA tournament.
I also would like to add That I believe we will lose three games in January. We do it every year like clockwork. Even last years team lost three straight games in January. I don't know exactly what it is but I believe it is the cumulative effect of all the conditioning, And the team getting tired mentally from focusing on defense so much early in the year. Rick seems to have a knack of knowing when to throw in the offensive playbook in early February. It seems like that's when the team really turns it on and starts having fun. Every Other team running the same sets since early November And teams have them scouted out. since we throw in our playbook so late it's hard for teams to scout us and with how dynamite this team will be on offense that's scary. But I just wanted to say it now, since everyone will think the sky is falling in early February, it will be fine.
