Actually it kind of does. He's basically saying that Mr. Harrison is making these statements knowing full well that his sons are committing to UK. He's hiding the cheating at UK by drawing attention to the cheating at Maryland. That would actually make some sense as to why he would be so blatant about it.

But he was quoted as saying this by someone else. He later said "“Not one coach from anywhere has offered me anything. Kevin Plank has not called me about Under Armour and Maryland.”

So maybe it is a smokescreen, or maybe he realized that he said something stupid.

Even though they didn't go to Maryland, isn't it illegal to accept gifts from a shoe company the way they basically openly admitted they were doing? Not only accepting, but asking for stuff?

Anthony Davis all but admitted to taking $200,000 to play at Kentucky. If that doesn't get you in trouble then anything goes. Apparently the only way to get thrown off a team is do something like get a B- in a summer school class that requires a six week investigation to confirm.
