Memphis has plenty of them. Anyone see the one thug shove Hancock after the free throw? Thank God they are calling fouls because every one of them is warranted. I feel like we're playing against 5 DeMarcus Cousins.

When you have to try to recruit to a place like Memphis, those are the kind of players you end up with. Same exact players Cal used to bring into Memphis.
I would be all for never playing them again ever

The 'Ville just put a Big East whuppin' on the big, bad SEC!" -Mike Bianchi
That was obviously their game plan. Foul and hope they don't call it.
The memphis thugs obviously do not like they way the refs are calling it. Hopefully it affects their attitude in the way they play the rest of the game.
And Cal still brings them to UK. Memphis has always been thug. Glad our players are classy. We have had some thugs here and there, but this team is 100% about ball and nothing else.

I used to feel that it would be nice to continue the series but now I am with you. If a former conference mate wants to keep up a rivalry give the Bearcats a call.
At this point I just want to get through this game with no one else hurt. The BE is aggressive, but not like this. Memphis is just plain dirty.
I hope we never play this POS team again.
That just means the Memphis State players are misunderstood.
A simple question: is your butt jealous of the amount crap coming from your mouth?
And what's up with their fans? Booing after every single call and no-call? I thought for a minute we were playing in Rupp.
You guys talking about the guy who was kicked out of 2 different community colleges?
LOL - Thug lyfe!
Fans are the exact same. Front row of the student section warned at half. Facing getting kicked out.
U guys need to stop using the word thug. thug is a criminal type person. Don't confuse it with aggressive trash talkin basketball. Almost seems as if you are stereotyping
Assault is a criminal act.
Lol. Assault. If u play soft u will think its assault
Johnson whines like a little bitch when a foul is called on him.
It's real "soft" to get hit in the face by a wild elbow? There is a difference between playing physical defense and just trying to hurt people. That's why they have boundaries on what is and isn't a foul. Either way congratulations on an early Super Bowl. It must be nice to play in a conference where your last ranked opponent is before the New Year even begins.
Thug is called for when describing Memphis St players and fans.
+1 for you. I was going to post something similar, but I decided not to waste time with him.
thug [thuhg] Show IPA
a cruel or vicious ruffian, robber, or murderer. (Also known as a Memphis St. basketball player)
( sometimes initial capital letter ) one of a former group of professional robbers and murderers who strangled their victims. (Also known as any former Memphis St. player. Whether they are in jail or playing in the NBA).
1800–10; < Hindi thag literally, rogue, cheat
thug·ger·y [thuhg-uh-ree] Show IPA , noun.
SEE ALSO: Derrick Rose, Joey Dorsey, or anyone that played/cheated at STATE under Cow.
Memphis players act thuggish. Im not talking about trash talking. Lots of players talk trash and its simply a part of the game. The Memphis players were shoving our players after baskets and things like that. You can play physically without all of that. Johnson took a swing at Siva during the first half. siva flopped and acted like he made contact but he still took the swing.
Dude, I am all out of upvotes.
Someone hit him up for me.
Thug thug thug..... Th th th th th thug!!
Oh yeah .... THUG!
See what happens?
most overused dumbass word on message boards...
They have a few talented players and they play hard. I'll give them that. Pastner doesn't do anything resembling coaching. He holds up flash cards. That's about it. Their players must be so dumb they have to see their coach hold up a number to know what they are doing. It was like middle school basketball.
They were completely outclassed by our team. Like not even a contest. So you just foul every play. The refs called a good game. #1 in particular pushes off constantly and keeps getting surprised he gets called. News for ya Junior you're fouling Siva.
I won't call them thugs. They just play like guys on a playground. They talk a lot of crap but the rest of their game doesn't back up their mouths. That looked like maybe the worst "team" we have played all year. They need a new coach.
I thought that butthurt was that word.
