Thank you fellas! The good portion of the state of Michigan was rooting for you to beat the East-Coaster-Ivy-League-Rejects that populate one of our cities. I noticed Burke saying to one of your players during free throws somewhere around the 5 minute mark: "Its over! Watch this!" So cocky. So much Karma.
Thank you for shutting up those arrogant bastards and their cheating program for another 20 years! Well DONE!

In fairness, Burke was right.
we look forward to doing it again.
Am I wrong in the assumption, as it appears to me, that we beat the state of michigans version of UK?
No you're correct...and if it were all possible Michigan fans may even be worse. YouWaKay, WVU, and Michigan are all on the same level...
I have a cousin who graduated from Michigan State. Talk of UM made her sick! I am sure that back in Chicago she was rooting for the Cards!
Pretty much correct. Except for actually being successful and winning anything.
It is a strange phenomenon to watch them tout their sports programs, while they rarely actually win anything besides recruiting championships. The media blows them at every opportunity. They actually think that the Fraud Five was good for college basketball.
It's funny how much air time those guys got Monday night. Sad. Meanwhile UofL had a lot of alumni in the house from our '80 and '86 championship teams, but nothing from CBS. They would prefer to show exactly what is WRONG with college sports. Pathetic.
After dealing with those idiots down there all weekend, you have my condolensces
The other fanbases were great, knowledgeable, courteous people.
Michigans were all 5'5" pasty white guys with tank tops (and pipe cleaners for arms), shorts and flip flops who thought the entire city was there to tell them how awesome Michigan was.
I think they literally thought the Miami Heat couldn't beat them
We literally laughed as one after another fit this stereotype to a T as the weekend went along.
I've was usually pro Michigan due to a dislike for Ohio St, but after this weekend, I've changed.
I'll just dislike them both now.
Oh yeah, I didn't mean to imply I like Ohio St now.
Don't forget the girls in cut off jean shorts, jerseys/tanktops with just bra's underneath. They sound like nails on chalkboards when they talked or cheered.
Also, the "Lets Go Blue" chant really doesn't make sense. They are navy.
Yeah, the girls were just as bad, and all under 5' tall
Seriously Michigan, is there a malnutrition problem up there? Why is everyone so short?
Their fans were horrible. They were cocky and very rude.. I've been to almost all of our tourney games over the past 6 years when we've been on this great run and I place these Michigan fans up there with the UNC fans in Charlotte in 2008 as being some of the worst i've encountered.

That is just their student body. Majority is from New York and Jersey. They stand out like sore thumbs in our state and rarely actually leave the confines of their campus. The sense of entitlement is off the charts as well.
The funny part is that UNC has actually been successful. These clowns are like that even when they are terrible, which has been the case for 20 years up until now. They actually believe that B_____ (how we spell Beilein) is an equal to Izzo. There is so much delusion. It is amazing.
Yeah, I don't understand the sense of entitlement from them. For them to even put Beilein in the same breathe as Izzo is laughable. Izzo is up there with some of the best in the game....Beilein, not so much.
Beliein couldn't even beat us when his team hit 18 3-pointers in 2005.
My good Sparty Fan/Friend in Grand Rapids was texting me the whole game (I was at the Game). He told me to, "Beat the F out of those arrogant rodents." Classic dude...he was pumped we beat them-so was I!
And they were all wearing yellow.
I saw Burk say that. Made th whopping that much sweeter!
I kept wondering what he was saying but that makes sense now. Do you know who he was saying it to?
They honestly were just awful Probably one of the worst fanbases I've ever encountered.
I will say, there were 2 IU fans that sat behind us during the Wichita State game and heckled us and our team the entire game. These guys were worse than all 30,000 Michigan fans combined.
They were in their upper 30's, married and both had on matching T-shirts. Needless to say, at the end of the game, we ate them alive.
He said it to one of his teammates, right as we were lining up to shots free throws... he was pissed Fromm the foul call and said ” its over, watch! Watch!” Like he was gonna do something...all he did was bring the ball down and jack up one of those long as threes that missed horribly...he was right, just not exactly the way he saw it going down, but yeah it was over :)
Yeah, did they even show Grif, Rodney McCray, or LaBradford on the big screen? I don't remember seeing them. What other alums were there? I know Wade Houston was there. Did Billy Thompson make it? I know he was on hand in St. Louis as I saw him at the game and ended up sitting across the aisle from him on the plane out. I wonder if he or others made this trip.
