That ankle is really bothering him. You can tell on defense, he's changing directions much slower. A few days off is gonna do wonders for him. Here's to him being healthy and tearing uks guards up.
Im not sure how much his ankle is bothering him...he looks like he is moving well...but he is not playing well. Bad shots...dribbling into the teeth of the zone...bad passes. Hes just having a bad game...it happens.
He better play much better next weekend.
What about that ankle?
Holy schnikes on that steal & dunk.
BCS win, Women's Final 4/National runner-up, Men's Final 4/National title, trip to College World Series. Excellence like no other before.
Was like WOW!!!! Was really really WOW!!!!
These are exciting times to be a Card fan. Tell everybody you know, it's Cardinal time! Go Cards!!!
Cards 32, Cats 14
He played well towards the end of the 2nd half when Siva fouled out. He had back to back steals at the end, kind of like a "I'm still here" statement. Russ is absolutely fearless on the court.
That dunk was sick
Jumped out of my chair and yelled at that dunk, scaring the hell out of my cat.
We all knew Russ could dunk, but damn, this season he has flat-out just dunked all over the place.
He has to have more dunks in the first month or so of this season than he had total in his first two years. That one tonight was just phenomenal; w/ a guy on his hip & reaching in.
When he first got the steal and broke out, I was like, "No way he tries to dunk this".
Followed shortly thereafter by, "$@##($*$( #((# !"
Just for fun tonight I looked up the NBA mock draft 2013 to see where Siva was listed, and to my surprise, he wasn't anywhere to be found on several boards; however, on draft express....lol..>RUSS was listed in the first round.....they must be seeing what we are seeing!!!!! lol
I'm glad it was a cat.
In the first half it was shot selection more than anything else that was bothering Russ. What I was referring to was just watching him in the press. His reaction time was slow, even he said so after the last game. I just thought it was really noticeable tonight. He wasn't sliding and staying in front of guys as well as usual. This is why it's smart for pitino to give the guys two days off. Scouting report today and walk through. Give Russ and van treese two days off to get healthy, get the Gorgui X-ray so you don't gameplan and practice without him, then hit it hard Wednesday Thursday and Friday before the game.
