Three-star Florida LB Keith Kelsey plans to visit Louisville before making a college decision
Louisville could be a major player in three-star Gainesville, Fla., LB Keith Kelsey's college decision. Kelsey's dad played for Charlie Strong at Florida, and the talented linebacker has a good relationship with Louisville's coaching staff.
"Things are going really good with Louisville and we have been building a strong relationship," Kelsey said. "I talk to [UofL assistant] Brian Jean-Mary and I talked to Coach Strong Sunday. They were telling me to keep playing hard and they want to schedule me to come up there for a visit after my season ends."
Kelsey told InsideTheVille.com that he plans to make an official visit to Louisville in December or January, depending on when his team's season concludes. Currently 10-0, Kelsey's high school team is gearing up for a playoff run. He leads his team with 128 tackles.
"It means a lot that my dad played for Coach Strong," Kelsey said. "I've known him since I was a young kid and have enormous trust in him."
Besides Louisville, Kelsey says he's also considering South Carolina, Ole Miss, Iowa State and South Florida. South Carolina and Ole Miss haven't offered scholarships to this point, but Kelsey said he thinks the Rebels "are on the verge" of doing so.
Kelsey, the No. 77 prospect in Florida, is ranked the 42nd-best outside linebacker nationally by 247Sports.
