Louisville commitment James Quick earned U.S. Army All-American Bowl MVP honors Saturday afternoon in San Antonio, Texas
SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Louisville (Ky.) Trinity Top247 receiver James Quick announced his verbal commitment to Louisville during Saturday’s U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Quick becomes the 13th pledge for Coach Charlie Strong and the Cardinals in the class-of-2013. He chose Louisville over his other finalist Ohio State.
“They’ve turned the program around,” Quick said about Louisville earlier in the week. “They’re winning games and they also throw the ball a lot. That’s what’s caught my attention with them.”
Ranked as the country’s No. 10 receiver and No. 82 prospect overall according to the 247Composite, Quick becomes Louisville’s top-rated recruit and third four-star in the fold.
As a senior, Quick caught 85 passes for 1,416 yards and 16 touchdowns during the fall in helping his team bring home another state title.
